Bar Tourism Organization, in cooperation with the company Port of Adria JSC Bar, the agency Boka Adriatic and Tourism and Creative Industry Cluster of Bar, organized the official welcome for the cruiser "Horizon" (owned by the Spanish company Pullmantur) which is for the first time in Bar. Cruiser with 612 crew brought 1,352 passengers, mostly from the Spanish speaking area.
Rumija folk dance group’s performance was greatly appreciated by all tourists and part of passengers joined in during performance of folk Montenegrin dance. It is interesting that cruise tourists were well prepared and asked for concrete information on visiting the most important cultural and historical monuments, but also to try traditional Montenegrin and Bar’s specialties.
A ceremonial exchange of plaques was also organized on board the ship by representatives of Boka Adriatic Bijela (ship’s agent that brought the Spanish ship) and by Port of Adria JSC representatives. Dr Zoran Srzentic, President of the Municipality of Bar as well as Ms. Sanja Mitrovic, acting Director of Bar Tourism Organization Bar with her associates attended the ceremony.
