Together For Community – Port of Adria & MSC Belgrade

Through the joint humanitarian action with Mediterranean shipping company – MSC LLC Belgrade, bottled water was donated to general hospitals throughout Montenegro: Bar, Brezovik, Niksic, Podgorica, Risan and Cetinje. By giving an example of a successful long-standing partnership and responsible businesses, the activity was organized as a support to the community. Vision of success is based on socially responsible business, creating value as well as building long-term and stable relationships with the community. This is the path leading to the balance between economic and social development and represents duty of all economic entities. Thus, we contribute to a better future of our community and the quality of life of citizens.

Children’s Home „Mladost“ in Bijela

Children’s home „Mladost“ in Bijela is the only institution for social and children’ s protection in Montenegro which takes care of children with no parents as well as the children whose growth has been endangered by their legal care takers/family. Children’s home „Mladost“ is specific and its story has its own weight. Employees collected clothing, footwear, toys and school supplies for the children.

Our Company accepted the invitation of „Ideas Factory“ Production from Podgorica to participate in the program called „Dnevnica (Daily Fee)“ aired every Wednesday on TV Vijesti.
„Dnevnica“ is one of the most popular TV programs in Montenegro and has a humanitarian purpose. It is a winner of Iskra Award for Philantropy. In the past two years, it managed to help over 50 families and individulas who live in difficult conditions. The Program concept is always the same. In this specific case, Goran Pejović Gula, a famous musician from Bar, was the main protagonist of the program who did several different jobs in one day in order to collect aid for 6 children from family Đukić who live with their granny in conditions inadquate for humans nowadays. The musician responded to all tasks and challenges set in Operations Department and having in mind that he himself used to be a port employee, he was greatly pleased with realized investments and Company’s progress.

International Humanitarian Basketball Tournament

Bar Municipality organized a humanitarian international basketball tournament “U16 Bar Basketball Cup” for cadets under 17. The tournament had a humanitarian character and all the money collected was directed to the construction of a day care center for children with special needs in Bar Municipality. Participants were Real Madrid Baloncesto, Cadet  National Team of Israel, Alba Berlin, Fenerbahce, Cadet National Team of Montenegro, Mornar, Buducnost-VOLI and Team Niksic.

Supporting one of the most successful sports clubs in the country. As a part of Company sponsorship activities, sports take a special place as it is an important area for the development of a healthy, modern and advanced society.

Elementary Schools in Municipality Bar

In 2015, the Company donated notebooks with company logo to first-grade  pupils while in 2016 a set of school supplies packed in big bags with company logo were donated also to fist-grade pupils. The project objective is investment in education.

Reconstruction of the Internal Department of Main Hospital Bar 2015

The goal of this project in 2015 was creating better conditions for the reception of patients and their care. 66 donors secured 70,000 euros for the department’s adaptation: the painting of walls, replacement of tiles, elevator repair, refurbishing furniture and part of the bathroom.

Fenix Montenegro, Association of Parents of Children Who Suffer from Cancer

Annually in Montenegro, 15-20 children are diagnosed and sent for the treatment in Belgrade. The goal of this project is to help ill children and their parents. In 2015, the Company made a donation for the purpose of providing adequate support for these families, both in terms of children’s nutrition and their accommodation in their parents homes, as well as the payment the costs of transport in the case of death of a child, because these costs are borne by parents. With the Company’s help and with the help of other companies in Montenegro, they managed to gather certain funds and began with the payment of the accommodation of families from Montenegro whose children are treated in the hematology-oncology clinic. They are also planning to organize a rehabilitation camp for children who had been diagnosed with cancer and undergone treatment.

Global Run

Believing that sport is actively contributing to individual and social development, the company has organized the First International Global Adria Half Marathon Kotor held on 6th September 2015. The aim of this project is to encourage and bring together all sport fans in the region and thus contribute to the development of sports tourism and the extension of the tourist season in Montenegro. The half marathon (21,1 km), and 10 km race started in the vicinity of the Old Town of Kotor and continued along the road to Muo, Prčanj and Stoliv. The symbolic entry fee for 10km race was 10 €, while half marathon fee was 15 €. Based on this, all competitors received packages for the race (bag, bib number, shirt, electronic timing chip and participatory medal) with the usual refreshments, in accordance with international rules for the organization of similar events. At the end of the event, awarding ceremony took place for the winners in several categories, where more than 40 awards in total were presented.
