The Day of the Old Olive Tree – Olive Festival 2026 celebrates the rich tradition of olive cultivation and local gastronomy. Visitors can enjoy tasting premium olive oils, local delicacies, cultural performances, and family-friendly activities in a festive atmosphere
The Olive Festival in Stari Bar has been celebrating the spirit of olive cultivation, tourism, culture, and the history of the town under Rumija for over two decades. This year, on November 27th, visitors will enjoy the unique atmosphere of Stari Bar's cobbled streets and olive groves.
The event is one of the most authentic agricultural, tourist, and cultural happenings in Montenegro. The competitive segment includes judging the best olive oils from 2025, as well as awards for the best-maintained olive groves, young plantations, revitalized old groves, and the best olive yield.
In addition to the competition, the program features cultural and entertainment activities, along with educational lectures on olive cultivation, oil production, and the development of agrotourism.
